UFC 129 Results: GSP/Aldo win their respective titles

Georges St. Pierre (w) vs Jake Shields - As most people predicted, GSP retained his welterweight belt Saturday, April 30th, in front of 55,000 screaming Canadian fans. Shields actually managed to cut open the champion with a few strikes, surprising many, although the fight itself was pretty boring.

Jose Aldo (w) vs Mark Hominick - As you can see in the above, Mark Hominick suffered a NASTY hematoma during his fight with [still champion] Jose Aldo. The doctors actually had to check him out twice near the 4th round because of how big it was swelling up to. Hominick showed great heart and will during the fight and actually dominated the 5th round. Jose Aldo ended up retaining the belt, as he controlled most of the early parts of the fight.

Lyoto Machida (w) vs Randy Couture - As most expected, Machida won the fight decisively. He delivered a brutal front kick KO, sending Couture slumping to the floor. Randy then announced his retirement post-fight, saying he was certain this time. Thanks for all the fights Randy, you're a legend!

Vladimir Matyushenko (w) vs. Jason Brilz - Matyushenko promised to show off his better striking, and that he did, delivering a TKO of Jason Brilz in 20 seconds!

Ben Henderson (w) vs Mark Bocek -Henderson wins in a pretty decent fight against Bocek, managing to stuff most of his takedowns and score a few of his own. He wins by unanimous decision.

WWE doesn't have shit on UFC, lol. WWE is just all hype and UFC fighting styles actually take skill to do
