And Xbox Live members (gold and silver!) will get a free week of it.
Now, there's so ways to watch TV without actually watching TV. You got Netflix, which you can order physical copies of DVDs. There's Hulu, who I've always known as a website provider of TV shows and movies. Then you have the major league sports which have their own live video broadcast, like nhl.tv or mlb.tv, for a price of course. You can even find streams to your favorite shows on places like Justin.tv!
So that being said, is there really any point of having a cable or satellite TV subscription anymore? I imagine it probably is cheaper buying Netflix or Hulu along with whatever sports you watch. And I would probably hop on the bandwagon too but my internet gets so slow at night I can't stream anything :(
What are you guys' thoughts? Do you have a TV subscription AND internet? Or internet and some kind of stream provider?

I'ma pc gamer who watches tv via the net on my computer so I'm happily oblivious to all this :D
im all internet. i have cable but i honestly dont even use it. the only useful times are for those big big events, superbowl, etc.
same as ryan lyles. exept for the news
I more thing to learn.
yeah i use cable essentially for the convenience and the fact that you cant get everything as HD content online live. I suppose if you're satisfied with crap quality then
doesn't really affect me but good news none the less for 360 users
i hope PSN gets something like this when it comes back up
@baka I believe PS3 has Hulu, but unfortunately its not working because of the PSN problems :/
If only PSN would get back up I could do this on my PS3!
I remember hulu not letting us UKers watch videos.
I dropped my cable subscription more than a year ago. I use Boxee on pc and download most of the tv shows I want to watch.
@zach well.. i would've checked... BUUUUTT...
I still like to watch, the few programs I do watch, on normal tv. I don't know why though.
HULU is a U.S. only thing though :(
How much does Hulu cost?
Is there a free trial?
@Cody its free for a week, no credit card required. I believe its $8/month for Plus though.
pitty it's US only :(
if it wasn't for my wife i'd have no cable. netflix and hulu and xbox live are enough for me.
