UFC 132 brought us some spectacular finishes and fights, hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!
Main Event:
Dominick Cruz def. Urijah Faber via unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 48-47) -
Dominick Cruz def. Urijah Faber via unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 48-47) -
There a bit of some bad blood going into the fight with these two fighters. Cruz being the UFC champ, he was certain that he would successfully defend his belt. Faber being the challenger, but also having beaten Cruz in the past, was fairly cocky about it.
I thought this was a pretty good fight, both guys couldn't secure takedowns long enough to keep it on the ground so it was mainly a stand-up match. Cruz used his unorthodox movement to keep Faber at bay while Faber did have some success with his power punches.Cruz really showed a lack of punching power though, I don't think any of his punches ruffled Faber's hair.
Catch the rest after the break!Chris Leben def. Wanderlei Silva via knockout (punches) - Round 1, 0:27 -
I think everyone knew what this fight would be, a toe-to-toe war. And it was indeed a war, albeit brief. Wanderlei came out wild as usually and caught Leben on the nose, however his wild style was his downfall again as Leben caught him over the top and finished him with some BRUTAL uppercuts. Wanderlei needs to call it quits or he faces some brain damage, he's been in too many wars.
Tito Ortiz def. Ryan Bader via submission (guillotine choke) - Round 1, 1:56 -
Tito Ortiz needed a win tonight. In fact, needed really is an understatement. In order to keep his UFC job (and possibly his career as an MMAer), he HAD to win. And he was facing a tough opponent in Ryan Bader.
I'll be honest, I was not expecting Tito to win at all, but Tito landed a solid shot that wobbled Bader and finished off with a guillotine. Since this was the only submission of the card, he got the $75,000 bonus as well.
Carlos Condit def. Dong Hyun Kim via TKO (strikes) - Round 1, 2:58-
Carlos Condit is awesome. He comes to fight everytime and always tries to finish his opponent. He did it tonight in spectacular fashion when he stunned 'The Stun Gun' with a flying knee and finished him off with strikes. Condit earns the KO of the night award.
Dennis Siver def. Matt Wiman via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) -
In a close decision, Siver beats Matt Wiman. Siver showed excellent takedown defense in the this fight but once he did get taken down he was bloodied up. Matt Wiman showed poor sportsmanship after the fight when he immediately walked out the octagon after losing the decision. I thought the judges got it right for once.
Spike TV Prelims
Melvin Guillard def. Shane Roller via knockout (strikes) - Round 1, 2:12
Rafael Dos Anjos def. George Sotiropolous via knockout (punch) - Round 1,0:59

Brian Bowles def. Takeya Mizugaki via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
Aaron Simpson def. Brad Tavares via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Anthony Njokuani def. Andre Winner via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)

Holy shit man, that knee was intense! For a second I didn't see the knee connect but that was just BRUTAL.
As always, thanks for the gifs!
great fight, it was pretty close
Nice Gifs, btw Ufc 132 was sweet!!! Bunch of unexpected stuff happened
Great card honestly. Very few decisions and the ones that went the distance, aside from a Facebook Prelim, were exciting to watch. Easily the best card of the year thus far. Eery how close this card was in time compared to last years Liddell/Franklin card which was imo the best card of last year.
these fights always get really bloody
awesome .gifs.
